Oracle Shakes Up Software

Whether it succeeds or not, Oracle’s (ORCL) unsolicited

$5.1 billion attempted buyout of PeopleSoft (PSFT) is

shaking up the software industry and may well give even more

impetus to a gathering M&A wave.
