Wired‘s Superpower Issue has the great article The Antigravity Underground.
A kind of hobby-physicans took the design of Dr. Brown (Mr. “Philadelphia Experiment”) from early 20th century and started tweaking some high-voltage “lifters” at home (“Dr.Evil: 120.000 volts!”) that were recorded on video lifting up in the air without propulsion, just by the electricty.
Physicians know this phenomenon as “ion storm” basically generated by the high electricity (therefore: the more volts the better – and of course the easier any lightning bolts could strike you – wonder how to isolate my wonderful body against these…)
Most interesting is the fact, that some NASA folks really re-tested these things and proved – in ultimate vacuum of 10-7 teers – that it does not work in vaccum, which would mean that it cannot be used for space flight at all…
well, the experiments of Mr. Ventura
and his page AmericanAntigravity for antigravity research look interesting… let’s wait some years and maybe you could get your hoverboard at Amazon.com?

Antigravity "Lifters" as precursor for Hoverboards?
I think hover boards should be based on magnetic forces. some how use the earths magnitic feilds to leviate above the ground . make the borad an elictro magnetic. That way no fule will be used and no pollution made. who ever gets this tell me what you think and if it would ever work.

If I had to suggest a method for building hoverboards in the future, it would probably be one of two ways:
1. Use a contained conduit(s) of charged air particles, or ions, beneath the board to keep it aloft, or...
2. Utilize graviton virtual particles to give the board it's own local gravimetric field. Granted, the technology does not yet exist to manipulate gravitons (if indeed they do exist), but then again, option number 1 also has it's own difficulties.

I think you could make a hover board rink easily.
Just make a large room with magnet floors and then make your board out of two flat pieces sandwiched together and held with some super glue so the 2 pieces dont fly away from eachother.
There could be different boards for different size people. Or there could also be a small electro magnet to fine tune to your own weight and amount of height desired.
Would this work? Has it been done. I have saw on the net that they have already made hover boards that work fine and dont need air and engines like hover crafts. Just a board that floats. Is this true or fake?????

it strips the electrons from the the air and pushes the chargrd ions down which keeps the lifter in the air

NASA's experiment was very limited in scope. One might say that it was purposefully set up to fail.
Note that NASA has taken out patents on thrusters for use in space...

Reminds me of back to the future and MJ Fox on his antigrav Hover Board ;)
