Thanx to Erik I found TELIO’s Blog with a tip about Noodle. That is a transparent HTTP proxy for rewriting URLs just like the Apache Mod_Rewrite I wrote about.

I just wonder who might use this instead of the Apache-Mod? I mean if you are able to create the rewrite rules and have java on your server, you might aswell be able to put an .htaccess file in your directory, or?
