Toshiba Gigabeat G20 - the iPod killer

Sorry, but this is not an ipod killer. The ipod is still the best hybrid of functionality and looks on the market. This thing looks cheapa and the scroll joystick on the side is not a practical way to get through 20+ gigs of music not to mention the display looks tiny.

While this product is a step in the right direction, the ipod still reigns as the top HDD mp3 player.

Thank you for the track back.
I am write from Japan.

Thank you for advertising a Japanese product.
Still, since gigabeat is incomplete, I think that it becomes a product good from now on.

Japan also wants to do its best so that iPod may be won by gigabeat.

iPod killer?

Give me a break!

For Toshiba to manage to produce a good product like iPod they have to be serious about ergonomics usability and ease of use.
The use of iPod as an external firewire harddrive from which we can boot up a system whether a mac Os 9 or X it is an enormous advantage as we can carry around our own system with our own apllications and be productive anywhere a mac with a firewire port is available.

Furthermore the concept of the ipod and the add-ons already available from third-party vendors such as belkin or griffin are the killer gadgets for any product whose aim is only to dispute the iPod market just by trying to show it is a competitor product. IT IS NOT

If Toshiba or any other vendor are really aimed to produce any iPod competitor why such gadgets are not available on there respective websites?
