Medion 9170/MD 5044/SAA 7134 tv watching is fun again

If you have one of those cheap Aldi/Hofer Tv cards utilizing the great Philips SAA 7134 MK2/MK3 chipset and stopped using it because of worse Windows WDM drivers, sucky applications for watching and horrible Videotext support, then get up and enable it again…

Thanks to the current CT I found :

  • DScaler great TV browser with native SAA 7134 decoding support – lightning fast channel scan
  • nexTView EPG Decoder" nexTView EPG Decoder Software to support you in selecting your channels…

Again the open source community proved all so called professional developers wrong… and released hell great software compared to the bundled one… Now this is exactly the reason why buying "generic" cards with cheap chipsets is so much fun – there are a lot of desperate folks using these cards :-)

This link no longer works. Can you help? If it cures the problem with my TV card I'll owe you big time!
