Net-Speed vs. Register.com

Wow – just noticed that probably all the customers of the domain-registrar net-speed.com are sort of angry on ex-partner register.com

Check this:

Quote:

Even though you purchased your domain with LowestPriceDomain.com, you need to TRANSFER your domain to us in order to stay our customer. You CANNOT renew your domain in the old DOMAIN MANAGER system, and if you do not transfer your domain BEFORE expiration our old partner, Register.com, will not let you transfer it but may try to force you to pay them $35 for a 1 year renewal! This is fraud, and if it happens to you, please notify us by e-mail at

and notify the New York Attorney General's office (Register.com is located in New York), by writing a written complaint (you can write a letter as your complaint stating that register.com fraudulently charged your credit card or fraudulently refused to allow you to transfer your domain away from them; or you can call 1-212-416-8345 and follow the prompts to request that a complaint form be sent to you.) Mail your complaints to:
