Joining Google Orkut - first experiences

Google Released Orkut Social Networking Service 2 weeks ago and made it an invite only friend finder / social networking system. I guess that made it interesting for folks to join, because Friendster the original system released months before that Google wanted to buy is just the same…

So Google's employeeOrkut used his "20% private project time" to create this Friendster clone and we are happily joining this beta-service to provide Google with more information about us … and feel elite… well – lets look around a bit.

I admit – I have not read the TOS completely and what I suspect is that Google has made a rather waterproof (for themselves) terms agreement like they did for other services…

Jeremy already wrote about some possible reasons for Google to create this social network – and it's obvious – customer data.
