Sony Ericsson Game Developers Challenge 2004

Sony Ericsson Game Developers Challenge 2004 called out to create Java MidP 2.0 games in the next 3 months – even for pre-loading on future phones…

The prizes for the Sony Ericsson Game Developers Challenge 2004 are:

  • $7,000 USD cash prize to each of three winners (Americas, EMEA and APAC champions)
  • Winners will receive highly valuable placement on the Sony Ericsson Fun & Downloads site for commercial distribution (revenue-sharing).
  • Winners will get Java verification paid for by Sony Ericsson through the JavaVerified program>>
  • Winners will be offered presence as application partner in Sony Ericsson exhibition booth free of charge at a major industry event after the competition.
  • Winners will be considered for Top 10 QuickPlay/PrePlay download lists and for pre-loaded content on coming MIDP 2.0 phones this year.

In addition, all contestants will enjoy the benefits of global marketing efforts of the Game Developers Challenge and various consumer promotion activities performed by Sony Ericsson, as well as valuable go-to-market help through commercial distribution of all games via the Sony Ericsson Application Shop.

All games entered in the Sony Ericsson Game Developers Challenge 2004 will be commercially distributed through the Sony Ericsson Application Shop. The applications will be sold exclusively through the Application Shop for a minimum of one month, starting beginning of September.
