Amazon.de goes to Luxembourg

Amazon Europe did what I would have done initially when starting a big internet marketing enterprise with Amazon.com's background.

They chose Luxembourg per April 1 to be their residence for the Amazon EU partner programs, which means – LESS, much LESS taxes…

This only has an external effect on german partners as they dont have to charge VAT to amazon anymore, which also basically means less work for Amazon and partners…

interesting point in Liechtenstein might be totally anonymous number accounts as they have it in Switzerland as well….

Lesson learned: whenever possible internet corporations are to seek low-tax havens and have quite a few interesting ones in Europe now:

- Spain: 25% flat, EUR currency
– Slovakia: 19% flat, SK currency (conversion risk!)
– Hungary: 16% flat, HUF currency (conversion risk!)
