Spam Kings - high rolling hucksters selling porn, pills and xxx enlargers

Spam Kings is an investigative report about the “high rolling hucksters selling porn, pills and §%”§”$ enlargers” – written like a novel about those outlaws that fill millions of inboxes with offers obviously nobody purchases.

Some months earlier I read that more than 40% of reached US recipients have no problem with purchasing stuff that was promoted by a spammer. And more than 60% of email traffic is spam in the USA.

That numbers shocked and amazed me at once. Altough sending spam is a criminal act and was recently sentenced with 9 or more years for some “Spam Kings” the general business model and the questions about the “how” and “when” were very interesting to me, especially because I am in the internet marketing business as well.

The book is actually about some of those underground "heros" and it is amazing – once you dive into their life stories – how they develop their business. If it hadn’t been criminal, those guys would probably be the new Mr. Bill Gates today.

Brian McWilliams, the author is an investigative journalist that already wrote in Wired , Washington Post and other computer related publications. According to himself, his investigations in the spammer circles even put his own life at risk.
