URLCruncher - Crunch long URLs to make short ones

URLCruncher is a little and free tool I just released to the internet community.

It works just in the way other url shortening services like tinyUrl, lilUrl and all those other work, except it's branded by me…

Most interesting feature for me was that the TightUrl component I adapted for my use has a built in spam url filter, as those redirection services are commonly used by spammers to hide their real domains.

I wonder if/how this might be adapted and if I find my company name being spammed around soon – should that be the case I'll take that tool down ASAP.

Go to http://cemper.com/crunch to crunch your urls today…

http://cemper.com/a for example leads to the DMOZ category of url redirection services…

The tool also has a bookmarklet that you can drag as an icon to your browser to speed up the "Crunching" process to a single click.
