Google released the Google Toolbar version 4.
New features:
- centralized "bookmarks" stored with google – the answer to del.ici.us – recently accquired by Yahoo :-)
- a new query suggestion feature similar to the "auto suggest" feature that's currently available in the Google toolbar for Firefox – not only suggesting keywords but spelling corrections and also presents potential options from your own toolbar search history and bookmarks.
- own custom buttons for favorite websites or feeds within the click of a button
- webmasters owners can also create custom buttons for users. This means putting a short piece of code on your sites and users can add them to their toolbar with a single click… Read their how-to guide on how that works or checkout the full doc to become a button master
I am sure this will mean a whole new mass of signals sent to google about bookmarks, buttons and site displays… just right for them to ever-tweak their search algorithm…
Update: cool pal Aaron Wall already put up a page with some toolbar4 buttons – too bad that the non-Us countries cannot get that toolbar yet :-)
