Since I'm using another tier of spam filtering directly at my hosting provider I got load down on my servers considerably… and I lost mails from GMAIL users.
As that service called "Spirus" was also configured to use SpamCop blacklists, just yesterday a client called me to ask about some issues he mailed on Tuesday…
Then I got this error message forward to my own gmail account

Well – and this spamcop link tells you that SpamCop users have reported the system as a source of spam about 10 times in the past week…
Woho… that means I've been filtering a ton of spam mails from gmail, including those of my clients…
I am well aware that the gmail service is a fine one, but it's a free mailer just as hotmail and yahoo and that's why it cannot be trusted a bit more than those services…
I went ahead and whitelisted that client… close to whitelisting Gmail in general – but hey – it's a free mailer – full of spam….
What do you think? Can Gmail be trusted more than hotmail & yahoo just because it's made by Google?
