Today I finally implemented the integration of Akismet with the Drupal Track module which sucked in a couple of ways – i.e. bulk delete didn't work…
The combo of not being able to filter trackbacks efficiently filled my database with unbelievable 130,000 trackback records… disk space that would not have been needed …
This is another step giving Drupal those standard features a Blogger platform simply needs… I procrastinated to implement this feature for 3+ months anyway :-)
What's sad is that people simply turned off the trackback feature because of all those spam bots… which doesn't solve anything at all and kills a great feature…
Good thing is that by doing a grouped select of your watchdog you can easily extract IPs to blacklist on your firewall (i.e. APF)...
going to automate that soon too :-)
