50 hours outage ... what can we do to earn your business back?

A couple minutes ago a nice lady from The Planet called me up to ask about reasons for server changes in the last months…

Obviously they found out that I’ve been with them for 3,5 years and after that horrible 50 hours outage due to The Planet’s support staff started cancelling my (pretty big) servers with them.

After understanding that I’m still upset about TP’s service, her interesting last question was:

I guess service providers causing their client SO many headaches, SO many hours of extra hours and still got the guts to tell you that it’s your own fault alone that the server was down for 50 hours can only lose you.

Seriously… I wouldn’t want one of those Dual-Dual-Opterons again if they gave it to me for free for a couple months…

...and I paid them $600 a month or so (with extra memory, NAS, backup service etc… for their so-called “MANAGED” service … LMAO)

I remember having months of troubles with serverpronto and they offered me a year of free dedicated hosting … I declined as well just to avoid them.

Would YOU go back to a provider that caused you so much trouble just to save some money ?
