IBM promises to combine Rational with Eclipse – what we of course expected months before when the first announcement of the aquisistion was out. The News.Com articles tells us that IBM want's to lay out the plans for this integration next week, although they expect the modelling and source management tools will be integrated in 2 years (gosh…)... and what about the testing tools? Hyades as a testing and profiling plugin is out in the first version and in 2 yrs this will be gold compared to a maybe finished Rational integration.. mmh – product strategy? Hyades is also in the main eclipse project that IBM stuffed $40M into – I guess that must go side by side…
