The messenger that

wants me to update is Trillian…. [hebig.org/blog]

yes – it bombs me everytime I startup Trillian – well when it gets locked out, I am MSN-offline and keep using the other messenger standards in Trillian active…

"Hi Folks,

As many you have read recently, MSN has decided to no longer support older versions of their clients. Within their announcement, they mention that some third party applications may be affected. Trillian Pro 2.0, which is currently in beta, supports the latest and greatest MSN protocols. The free version of Trillian will be updated in time to reflect the new protocol as well. If we hear anything from Microsoft directly, or find out any more information, we will be sure to let you know first.

MSN banning Trillian

Trillian has come up with a PATCH that FIXES this problem with MSN. Go to: http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/downloads/
and click on Trillian Download Patch F

Disconnect from Trillian (if you're connected already), download the patch, and double-click on it. It will install to your C:\Program Files\Trillian folder and that's all there is to it. Log back into Trillian and Voila!
