It's hard to imagine that anyone with an inkjet printer hasn't at some time had their printer run out of ink, only to
find themselves without a replacement ink cartridge.
Whether you just use your computer at home for pleasure or as part of your business this can be a really frustrating experience. At best not having a replacement ink cartridge might mean you can't print some information off the internet; or at worse if you're a business user you might not be able to process a letter to clinch a business opportunity. You now also have to spend not only money but your precious time shopping around to get your replacement ink cartridges. The convenient way to get replacement ink cartridges today is, of course, to do it online.
I've got to be honest here; buying ink cartridges from a local store or shop drives me to absolute distraction. It
doesn't matter whether I go to a general store or a specialist computer/electronics store, all I seem to do is waste either time or time and
money! Invariably it means you can't buy replacement ink cartridges, but have to buy the more expensive original manufacturer's new ones, even for a really popular make like HP ink cartridges.
Also, the chances of them actually having the exact one you want in stock is at best 50:50. Meaning, if they haven't got the one you want - you've got to go back in a day or two, or find another store that might stock it.
The sensible and cheaper thing to do is to buy your ink cartridges online. Whilst I could buy original HP ink cartridges
from the HP website, I know if I search the internet I can find online stores that will sell me replacement ink cartridges at a fraction of the cost, even allowing for delivery charges. Even better is the fact that online ink replacement stores invariably have a recycling facility, whereby you can send them your used cartridges - which they will then recycle rather than you just dumping them. So, the net result is that in buying your replacement ink cartridges online you'll not only save money but also do a bit more towards
reducing Carbon footprints and saving the environment. No matter what the make and model yourprinter is, you'll be able to find an online store selling replacement ink cartridges for it; even something like a cartridge for an old Epson Stylus inkjet printer.
If you've recently bought a new computer,
the store you bought it from probably had a great deal on buying an inkjet printer with it. You probably thought you'd got a great deal buying the printer as well as the computer for just a few dollars more - until you need to replace the ink cartridge. It really doesn't matter what make the printer was, but you'll probably find that the cost of a new original manufacturers ink cartridge is almost the same as what you paid for the printer itself! However, you can turn this situation back to your own advantage, if say it was a Lexmark printer - then search for replacement Lexmark ink cartridges online and maximize that saving you made when you bought your bargain printer.
Some printer companies put dire warnings in the information about using their printers regarding using replacement, or
compatible, ink cartridges as opposed to their ‘original manufacturers' ones. Whilst you can't blame them for trying to retain sales business for themselves, the simple fact of the matter is that, for example, a Dell replacement ink cartridge is every bit as good as an original manufacturers one. A reputable replacement ink cartridge company will use the same formula of ink as the original manufacturer, thus ensuring that the quality of the printing isn't compromised and that your printer won't become blocked up.
